Walsh Detox Protocol Day 1

I just wrapped up my first day of the Walsh detox protocol.  The hardest part so far has been making sure I am getting the supplements dosed correctly.  There is a lot to remember to take so it is a bit overwhelming.  Hopefully that will become more automatic as the days go on.  Below is a sample of what I took 3 times today, thats 8 activated charcoal tablets and 1000 mg of Chitosan.  In my water bottle is a fiber solution, citrus pectin, and a probiotic.

I decided to basically do a 24 hour fast and try to eat all my calories at dinner in one meal.  I find I can fast fine throughout the day but once I break it I get hungry so instead of doing 2-3 meals a day I did one.  This worked out OK.  I was not able to consume all the protein I was supposed to and I felt really full afterwards.  I think tomorrow I will have one meal during the day consisting of some protein and mung beans.

For liquids today I consumed a cup of coffee this morning and a cup of Honeybush tea as well copious amounts of water.IMG_2322

My workout was light, I did about an hour of mobility work plus the Ido Portal Squat routine at noon.  Around 3:20 PM this afternoon  I did my 30 minutes of cardio and then went to the sauna.  IMG_2320

Not surprisingly after the 30 minutes of cardio and sauna I was in ketosis.

Thats it for day 1.  Only 9 more days to go 😉

  1. Thanks for sharing and good luck with the protocol! I felt worst at the beginning and slowly felt better throughout – I’ll be curious to see how you get on.

You weren’t tempted to try the detox soup? That was my favourite part 😂

    1. I am not a big fan of soups I would rather just eat the food. My wife however did make the soup, but I dont think she had it yet

Nice! I found it helpful to put the supplements into individual jars at the beginning of the day, labeled with the time of day. At first I put the pectin and fiber powders into jars as well, but then found it easier to mix up liquid batches, dosed in jars as well.

    1. Hey Mark,

It has gotten easier on day 2 and 3, almost automatic now that I have a routine. In fact I stopped mixing the powders in water all together and just dump them in my mouth and take a swig of water, far more efficient 😉
